The CIE/RTS-5 is a secondary current injection relay test set for testing protective, over-current, and earth fault relays. Provides continuously variable AC current from 0–1 A to 0–200 A across eight ranges, at output voltages of 14 V (for lower current ranges) or 4 V (higher ranges). Alternatively, a 0–240 V AC output at 1 A is available via a Volt/Current selection switch - current injection and 0–240 V AC modes cannot be used simultaneously. Two fixed voltage outputs (50 V and 110 V AC at 1 A) are also provided. A built-in dual-range digital timer (0–9.999 sec at 1 ms resolution or 0–99.99 sec at 10 ms resolution) starts when the output circuit is energised and stops automatically when the relay under test actuates. Multi-range digital ammeter (0–100% scaled) and AC voltmeter (0–300 V) built in. NO/NC selector for relay auxiliary contacts. Input: 230 V, 1 phase, 50 Hz. Intermittent duty: 5 min ON, 10 min OFF.
