About.
The Systems Tech photo-reflective sensor uses a bright light source, a lens and a photo receiver in a threaded chrome plated brass probe. The beam is aligned with a reflector applied to the rotating shaft or disc at a distance of 4 to 12 inches, and each pass of the reflector gives one pulse per revolution over a 3-wire cable. It is used with panel tachometers such as the TM-804 or any speed measuring system that accepts a digital pulse.
