Electrical Testing.

Electrical testing instruments check that wiring, motors, cables and earthing are safe and healthy before they fail. The range here covers insulation resistance, earth resistance, very low contact resistance and phase rotation, for maintenance teams, contractors and commissioning engineers.

All prices include GST, with a GST invoice on every order. Delivery across India; heavy equipment carries a packing and forwarding charge shown on its page.

Questions buyers ask.

What does an insulation tester do?+

It applies a DC test voltage and measures the leakage through insulation, so a weak motor winding, cable or transformer shows up before it trips or burns out.

Which test voltage should I choose?+

Low-voltage wiring and 415 V motors are usually tested at 500 V or 1000 V. HT motors, cables and transformers are tested at 2500 V or 5000 V.

What is an earth tester used for?+

It measures the resistance between an earth electrode and the ground, and on four-terminal models the soil resistivity used to design a new earth pit.

Why use a micro-ohm meter instead of a multimeter?+

A micro-ohm meter uses a four-terminal Kelvin connection that cancels lead resistance, which is the only way to read breaker contacts and busbar joints reliably.

What is a phase sequence indicator for?+

It shows the phase rotation of a three-phase supply, so a motor is not connected to run backwards.
